On Friday night the championship leader Brighton lost 2-0 against Norwich at Carrow Road and the English keeper, David Stockdale, succeeded in the unlucky exploit of scoring two first- half own goals.
Both the own goals were scored in the same way.
18’, Alex Pritchard, former Tottenham player, shot from 20 yards and hit the crossbar but the ball bounced off Stockdale and went in. 1-0.
39’, A Deja-vu, Pritchard picked up the ball and shot again from the same position and another time the ball hit the post but it bounced off Stockdale for the second time and went into the goal. Incredible. 2-0
Stockdale was mocked by the home fans who began to ask for the hat-trick (3 goals scored by the same player in one match) and sang “David Stockdale, he scores when he wants”.
This is the magic of the English Football.
